Position: Maintenance Supervisor- Detroit MI
Description: The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable operation of the mechanical and electrical equipment at the Detroit, Michigan chemical manufacturing facility. The position is a part of a team that produces high quality chemicals and prides itself in its excellent safety record. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for directing the activities in the maintenance department in a safe and cost-effective manner. The Maintenance Supervisor will also be heavily involved in managing shutdowns and supporting capital projects.
EHSS RESPONSIBILITIES
- Uphold the standards of the ACC Responsible Care Management System
- Ensure all EHSS policies, guidelines and standards are practiced and enforced
- OSHA Process Safety Management program 29 CFR 1910.119
- EPA Risk Management Program 40 CFR Part 68
- DHS Appropriations Act of 2007 CFATS program
- All other applicable regulatory requirements as they apply
- Incident investigation and Root Cause Analysis to prevent recurrence
- Complete and conduct applicable training as needed
- Audit participation and completion of corrective actions

- Ensure Completion Preventive Maintenance Work Orders

SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Excellent safety standards
- Strong knowledge and experience with CMMS, PM Optimization
- Strong background with Maintenance Management Best Practices
- Chemical manufacturing facility experience
- Leadership skills and experience
- Able to work effectively with competing priorities
- Verbal and written communication skills with multiple levels in the organization and external suppliers
- Strong decision-making skills
- Strong diplomacy and interpersonal skills
- Self-starter able to work alone and in groups
- Able to work as a team player and as a leader to promote a safe and reliable culture in the plant
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel, and Word
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- 5 years of experience in maintenance
- Experience working in a PSM and RMP facility
- Experience in applying industry RAGAGEPs – Recognized and Generally Accepted Good Engineering Practices (Chlorine Institute, API, NACE, ISA, ANSI, ASTM, NFPA, etc.)
