Function:          Bid Coordinator- New Haven

Key responsibilities (May include but not limited to):        

  •  Maintain regular administrative duties to support the business processes
  • Provide full administration of bids and contracts for key customers
  • Maintain and establish relationships with bid customers and vendors
  • Review online bid services for bid opportunities and tracking
  • Participate in team meetings and projects relating to bid administration quality
  • Perform customer visits to determine bid and safety requirements
  • Prepare freight rates, tolls, demurrage, fuel surcharge daily to assist with customer freight invoicing
  • Provide administrative support to customer service
  • Enter and receive in purchase orders
  • Provide support in general office administration
  • Continual system and process review and improvement
  • Support company goals, KPIs and action plans
  • All other duties as assigned

 

Required Education / Training / Equivalent Experience (Prior to hire / transfer):

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but would consider Associates degree with relevant work experience
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Organizational skills and Multitask Management
  • Detail Oriented
  • Computer skills to include Access, Word, Excel, Out Look
  • Ability to excel in a high paced deadline-oriented environment
  • Problem solving skills
  • Team Player
  • Positive Attitude
  • Job longevity (stayed in positions or field over 3 years)

OJT (Required within the initial employment period – varies per position and experience):

  • Basic understanding of NACD / Responsible Care
  • Understand applicable procedures, work instructions, forms, checklists, etc.
  • Applicable ADAGE skills
  • PVS 101
