February 24, 2016 – Fanchem Ltd., a subsidiary of PVS Chemicals, Inc., has agreed to acquire the business and certain assets of Benson Chemicals Limited located in Freelton (Hamilton), Ontario, Canada. The acquisition will combine each company’s long-term chemical-distribution operations in the region.
After the acquisition, Fanchem plans to carry on the business under the name “PVS Benson.”
The transaction is anticipated to close on or about February 26, 2016 following the satisfaction of customary closing conditions. Gary Niven, President of Benson, said “On behalf of the board, the shareholders and dedicated management team and employees of Benson, it was important to find the right fit between what has been built over the past 60 years and Benson’s potential. We feel Fanchem will preserve our legacy with customers, suppliers, employees and our community.”
