PVS Steel Services Inc. Purchases the Assets of ISSI Holding, Inc.
May 9, 2017 Detroit, Michigan – PVS Steel Services Inc. (“PVSS”), a division of PVS Chemicals Inc. (‘PVS”), announces the purchase of certain assets of Pittsburgh based ISSI Holding, Inc. (“ISSI”).
PVS offers a broad array of chemicals and services in North America. The addition of these new assets will enhance PVS’s ability to continue in this tradition. PVS is looking forward to taking what ISSI has built and improving its offerings, especially to the steel and oil and gas industries.
PVS President and CEO Jim M. Nicholson states, “We are excited about the transaction and we look forward to the opportunities that lie ahead by combining the two organizations. We have synergies in all aspects of the business which include the management of manufacturing of iron salts, process engineering, operations and the marketing of hydrochloric acid to the steel and energy sectors”.
About the two companies
ISSI has been in business since 1989 and has over 400 employees worldwide. In addition to their ferrous chloride management business, they also offer design, build and operation services of hydrochloric acid regeneration facilities and transportation services to the oil and gas markets.
